The pearled quality of Maestoso is ideal for stitching the detail and “barrettes” of Hardanger embroidery, enhancing the sculptural nature of the stitches and emphasising the details found in some of the intricate filling stitches. Traditionally Hardanger is worked with a thread colour that matches the fabric however many contemporary designs make use of coloured patterns to great effect. Available in 216 colours Maestoso is perfect for both traditional and contemporary designs on normal 22-count Hardanger fabric. On finer, higher count fabrics the combination of Maestoso and Vivace threads is often more suitable. Use only 1 thread. 60mt
