Aurilux 36 polyester

Aurilux 36 100% Polyester is an exceptional thread that possesses all the brilliance of the best rayon, with the benefit of a satin finish endowed with extra-ordinary depth and luminosity of colour.  Recommended for projects that will be subjected to many washings such as embroidered children's quilts and nurses uniforms. The machine friendly nature of Aurilux, plus the colourfastness and strength when wet, makes it the perfect alternative to rayon when a high sheen decorative finish is required for  embroidery. Although we call it a strong thread we still consider it "safe" for quilting as we can snap the thread in our fingers without cutting our hands.

Rayon 40

It is the most popular thread for free motion machine embroidery as well as computerized embroidery. Packaged on a white plastic base, this type of thread is only available in 500 mt spool size in the count Ne 40/2  This standard size embroidery thread is ideal for most designs. Made from 100% viscose rayon, it is perfectly suited for embroidery on your home embroidery machines as well as industrial sewing machines.  It is known worldwide for high tensile strength and excellent glossy luster.

Cotton Mako' 40

This is the "universal" thread weight in the Mako' range, available on 1094yd green plastic spool holder This standard size embroidery thread is ideal for most designs. Made from 100% cotton Mako'  it is perfectly suited for embroidery on  embroidery machines.
 

Cotton Mako' 28

Available on 750 m (820yd) grey spool holder, this thicker cotton fills in quickly and reduces the stitch count and production time in large designs. It is also ideal for use on heavy fabrics

Cotton Mako' 12

A needlepoint effect can be achieved when it is run on standard embroidery machines. Mako 12 comes on 325m (383yd) red plastic holder .You will have great fun experimenting with Mako 12 and the embroidery unit on your sewing machine.

Wool Lana 12

This is a textured thread made of 50% Wool (Australian) & 50% Acrylic. This combination gives the thread the soft appearance and texture of wool with the added strength of the acrylic allowing it to be used for  machine embroidery. Perfect for creating a soft textured look on garments, it can can also be used with chenille and chain stitch embroidery attachments. We would recommend that you select designs that can be worked in an enlarged format as the thread is thicker than many other embroidery threads. The Lana is a 12wt and the red plastic spool holds 350m (383yds)
