Cotton Mako' 12

The name Redwork is derived from the red cotton thread that was used to create this charming style of embroidery. Redwork has recently experienced a renaissance in part due to interest by quilters who have sought to recreate some of the antique quilts seen at auction. Since surviving penny squares were often incorporated into old quilts or shams, it makes perfect sense that the quilting community would be responsible for some of the resurgence of Redwork's popularity

The use of  Makò 12  for naive  red work stitchery style blocks, will give you a strong stitch definition, and create a smooth, soft, touch and appearance which will add the perfect finishing touch to your quilting inspirations. Ensure you use a needle that can accommodate a heavier weight thread Aurifil Makò 12 is also colorfast
